Proper operation of a panel machine ensures longevity and optimal performance, ultimately benefiting your business. Here’s a simplified guide on how to use a panel machine effectively, based on the manufacturer’s recommendations.
First, turn on the machine by pressing the power switch. Begin by engaging the reverse button to clamp the specific reverse section, then press the retract button followed by the forward button. Next, activate the(pipe ejection), and set the automatic stop rod. The machine will start loading or unloading panels. Use the trigger to clamp or release the pressure plate, and then apply pressure from above with the suspended roller.
Before operating, familiarize yourself with the machine's functions, usage, and safety precautions. Only trained personnel should operate the machine. Prior to use, check that the air pressure and power supply are normal, ensure that the pressure rack or robotic arm is correctly positioned, and verify that the proximity switch is turned on.
Manually adjust the clamping fixtures to the appropriate operating points. Once manual testing is successful, switch to automatic mode. If the machine has only one clamping rack or robotic arm, position it to the right side near the gearbox.
During operation, it is essential to monitor the system closely. Ensure that after each cycle, the pressure rack or robotic arm is correctly positioned and that the proximity switch remains on; otherwise, the machine may malfunction. If the conveyor chain operates unexpectedly due to a power failure, immediately press the STOP button. Once power is restored, manually return the machine to its working point.
Refer to the technical manual to adjust the pressure settings. Utilize hydraulic energy to aid in clamping, ensuring that the pressure is sufficient without causing excessive glue overflow, which could compromise the panel's quality.
After use, return the fixtures to their working positions, switch the control to manual mode, and turn off the power. When leaving the work area, ensure the machine is properly shut down to prevent unintended operation. In case of any abnormal machine behavior, stop it immediately and have a professional technician inspect it, ensuring the power is disconnected during maintenance.
Finally, before ending your shift, clean any wood dust around the machine and on the motor, and perform routine maintenance to ensure the equipment remains in good working condition.
